Top 5 Exterior To Do's

  • Pressure wash the exterior of your home; Eliminate dust, cobwebs and brighten up your paint job.
  • Wash windows inside and out; It’s amazing what a clean window can do for a view and make your home sparkle.
  • Paint the front door; Set the tone for warm welcome!
  • Remove clutter from your yard space; Be sure garden supplies and equipment are stored out of sight.
  • Remove weeds and apply fresh mulch; Well kept yards and a fresh look make a great first impression!

Top 5 Interior To Do's

  • Declutter countertops; A maximum of 3 items per counter space is advised. Don’t distract buyers with knick knacks and family photos.
  • Neutralize smells; Buyer’s can’t wait to leave a space that has an unpleasant smell so be sure to have your home fresh and clean.
  • Touch up or repaint; It’s important to touch up trim or places where furniture has rubbed off paint or is stained. Painting an entire room or even more so an entire home can be a daunting task and could deter a potential buyer. We recommend neutral paint choices over highly personal and bright colors. It’s easier for a buyer to imagine their belongings in the home vs the work they may feel having to do.
  • Clean or replace light fixtures; This can also brighten a space and modernize a home without the expense of updating an entire space.
  • Define your spaces; Make sure each room has a clearly defined use. A bedroom should look like a bedroom. Often if spaces aren’t defined, buyers can be confused on its intended use. This is also where our stager and their expertise can help!
